The “Mini-Audit” Strategy Review

The Mini Audit Strategy Review is a two day workshop with your marketing team conducted by Alcomis. The intention here is that Alcomis will host a number of interactive sessions with relevant staff in your organisation to gain an understanding of your past, present and future marketing goals. From there Alcomis will work with your marketing team and leadership to refine, enhance and finalise your marketing plan. The is a collaborative process, culminating in Alcomis providing summary documentation, presentation deck(s), and commentary for your marketing staff to use as they execute the plan.

Over 15 years of working with marketing agencies and in large multinational companies, we determined that waste is one of the biggest problems across marketing organisations. We observed that resources and budgets were often allocated to planning projects that were not viable for the marketing organisation to execute. Now more than ever there is always a desire to do the “new thing” and to be seen as the “cutting edge marketing team”. Because of this, many companies ignore the basics. Marketing foundations are never established. Budgets are allocated to agencies for strategy, communications planning and creative. This increases costs and complexity, which has a negative impact on return on investment (ROI).
The Strategy Review workshop is designed to allow Alcomis and your organisation to review your past, current and future marketing plans together. We will conduct a workshop with your team over two days to go through your current plan in detail, review past performance, stress test programs and review the execution and resource plans for your team.
Over these two days Alcomis will chair all meetings and provide our expertise to drive discussions and allow your team to formulate a successful marketing plan.
Alcomis and The Marketing Deep Dive Program aims to reverse this trend and help organizations ensure that their base marketing operations are clearly defined. Budget, resources and time are essential commodities. By using the Marketing Deep Dive Program, organizations can ensure their focus remains on initiatives that deliver positive ROI. The aim is to simplify the marketing strategy so that the entire organization understands what their strategy is and the entire marketing team is clear on their programs and tactics.

As with our Marketing Deep Dive Program, there are four steps to the overall process:
Gather
We will ask your team to fill out individual surveys in advance of the workshop. These will be divided into areas such as brand, communications, media, analytics, competitors etc.
Analyse
Alcomis will collate the above information and use this as the basis for breakout sessions in the workshop. We will work with your team to analyse the information we have been provided and work through the finer details.
Interpret
Partnering with your team, we will work to establish the key areas to focus on, identify potential opportunities and work to ensure that all essential details are captured. These discussions and sessions will form the basis of the finalised marketing plan.
Recommend
Alcomis will work with the team during the workshop to agree on the overall plan, programs and tactics. After the workshop Alcomis will create the finalised documentation including presentation decks, explanatory documents and other materials required for your team to successfully bring your marketing plan to fruition.

The workshop will take place over a 2 day period. This can take place on site in your organisation’s premises or off-site (organised by Alcomis). This will be a collaborative and interactive 2 days where dialogue and debate is crucial.
Day 1 will focus on working with your team to understand all your current work in areas such as brand, communications, analytics, social media, PR and your current marketing technology stack. We would ask that participants fill out a short questionnaire in advance for areas they currently work on. We are focused on learning as much about your organisation and its goals from your team. This is also a great opportunity for your team to align their expectations and strategy goals.
Day 2 will focus on reviewing your upcoming marketing plans. We will help your team work through prioritising the right programs and campaigns. We will also look to advise on how best to use your resources, measure the effectiveness of your work and communicate your success. This will be an open forum, managed by Alcomis, for your team to work through their strategy and align on the key goals, programs, tactics and campaigns they want to run. We will also focus on what metrics and measurements are required to accurately report on how the marketing plans are performing.

After the workshop has been completed, all findings and work from the team will be collated and analysed. From here Alcomis will work to deliver the final documentation and material required for your team to execute your plan. This will include overall strategy document, marketing calendar (where applicable), resource requirements and analytics strategy.
This documentation will be provided to the client along with a presentation deck, delivered in person or over a zoom call. One round of amendments will be offered from Alcomis to finalise any changes that arise post the 2 day workshop.
